I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
